What is the Paid Discovery Phase?
For complex Pro-tier projects, we charge a flat Discovery fee before the build begins. This gives you a full technical specification, system architecture plan, risk assessment, and a fixed-price quote — so there are zero surprises during the build. If you move forward, the Discovery cost is credited toward your project. If you don't, you still walk away with a blueprint you own.

Can I upgrade my retainer plan later? +
Absolutely. You can upgrade at any time — the new rate applies from the next billing cycle. Most clients start with Essential or Pro and move up as their business grows.
What if I already have hosting I'm happy with? +
No problem. We can work with your existing hosting provider or migrate you to a better solution if it makes sense. We never lock you into proprietary infrastructure.
Can you take over a site you didn't build? +
Yes — we do site audits and can take over managed care for existing websites and apps. We'll review the codebase, infrastructure, and dependencies first so there are no surprises.
Is the Discovery phase always required for Pro? +
For complex Pro-tier projects, yes — we require it. It protects you from scope creep and protects us from under-scoping. For straightforward Pro projects, we may waive it at our discretion.
What's included in "minor content changes"? +
Text updates, image swaps, simple page additions, form field changes, and similar edits that take under 30 minutes each. Larger changes are quoted at hourly rates with your approval first.
